(GRCAM: Building A Sense OF Togetherness Among Like Minded Brothers, Sisters & Others)

I created (GRCAM) the Grass Roots Community Activist Movement in 1991 on a site called Gopher in order to connect with other like-minded individuals who are interested in networking with me in order for me to gather support for my cause Help Stop The Genocide In American Ghettos starting in Chicago.

African American from the lower economic class are suffering great harm from senseless violence, high unemployment, mass incarceration, police brutality, drug abuse, high illiteracy, inadequate healthcare and failing school system as a result of institutionalized racism. Our middle class black professionals refuse to work with me, the black churches in my former and current community refuse to allow me to pass out fliers about my book after church services, and established black organizations in my city refuse to heed my ideas. Since 2001 over 4,000 people have killed in Chicago alone as a result Chicago is currently the murder capital in America. Urban violence is a moral issue just like slavery and lynching.

The only thing which is preventing me from starting my Christian organization is the lack of manpower and the capital this is why I turned to social media to get my message out to the public through my Youtube videos, my Social Groups, my Blog Postings, my online talkshow, and now through my revised book "The Solution For Black America: Reclaiming, Rebuilding, And Restoring The Urban Ghettos In America" second edition. In my book I provide a 21st century plan on how my Christian organization will eradicate urban violence while at the same time meet the social needs of the communities and families we will serve if given a chance.

I will not start my business until I have my management team in place or until I generate enough capital from my book sell to hire qualified people to join my team. I am still seeking between 10 to 30 individuals within the United States who have read my story and have the expertise in the following areas: Investors, Business Partners, Christian Entrepreneurs, Social Entrepreneurs and Philanthropist. I am also looking for legitimate artists such as film directors, producers, actors, stage managers, fundraisers, technical directors and marketers who can come to Chicago and join my management team.

Once I have my management team in place and we find a location on the Westside of Chicago then I will start the Grass Roots Community Activist Institute of Chicago. GRCAI will provide quality programs and services to benefit the black community and promote culture retention. GRCAI will operate under 5 separate functions within the African American community.

1. A social service component
2. A Spiritual component (optional for secular people)
3. A Political component
4. An Entertainment component
5. An Entrepreneur component

It’s my hope that the Grass Roots Community Activist Institute of Chicago will become a permanent infrastructure for Chicago Artist who will compete with other cities like Los Angeles, New York, and Atlanta and become the Hub throughout the Mid-west for emerging black artists and upcoming black Christian Entrepreneurs.

We will build a collective power to eliminate social injustice through our bold plan. We will accomplish this through developing grassroots leaders and working together to push social change. We welcome diversity within the black culture from African Americans, African Immigrants, Afro Brazilians, Afro Caribbeans, and Non-black sympathizers as well as all Christian denominations, moderate Muslims, and secular people on both the Westside and Southside of Chicago. Our shared values of racial, social, and economic development in urban communities.

Once I am able to generate enough capital from my revised book and have my management team in place then I will start the Grass Roots Community Activist Institute of Chicago. GRCAI will be an organization which brings law abiding people together based on our shared values.

+ We value diversity. We believe that we all benefit from the racial, spiritual, socio-economic, gender, and age diversity within the African American community. Diversity within the organization will make us more effective.

+ We value justice. We believe there is no equality without justice. When we speak about justice, we are talking about fair treatment of and access for all people regardless of race, class, or gender.

+ We value leadership development. We believe leaders are made, not born, and anyone is capable of becoming a leader. We believe that developing grassroots leadership is essential to building and making positive change in our community.

+ We value people power. We believe power is simply the ability to act, and through organizing we will bring people together will raise consciousness.

GRCAI will organize community residents to focus on solving black issues including:

* Ending urban violence
* Structural inequality
* Institutionalized racism
* Police brutality
* Affordable Housing
* Quality Education
* Economic Development
* Social Justice
* Healthcare
* Youth Services

I am using the only tools currently available to me to get my message out to the public that is my Youtube videos, my Social Groups, my Blog Postings, my Blogtalkradio show, my Free Webinars I hold on Facebook, Google Plus and Skype yet my message continue to fall on deaf ears.
The only thing which is preventing me from turning my Christian organization into a real business is the lack of manpower and the capital this is why I continue to re-emphasizing my revised book “The Solution For Black America: Reclaiming, Rebuilding, And Restoring The Urban Ghettos In America” second edition.

I am still searching for 30 individuals within the United States who have read my story and agree with my plan to improve our inner cities and who meet the qualifications I am looking for, for those persons to please make themselves known to me. It’s my hope that my revised book would get into the hands of Angel Investors, Business Partners, Christian Entrepreneurs, and Social Entrepreneurs who will work with me in starting my For Profit business in Chicago. As well as get into the hands of Donors, Philanthropist, and Sponsors who will work with me in starting my Nonprofit organization in Chicago.

My pledge to the inner city of Chicago residents none of our members will ever have to endure such humiliation and rejection just for trying to do something positive in the black community. I am looking for grassroots local Actors, Actresses, Artists, Comedians, Dancers, Fashion Designers, Film Makers, Models, Musicians, Performing Artist, Poets, Singers, Spoken Wordiest, and Writers. We will offer entertainment, documentaries, short films, a variety of stand-up comedy, community news, and live concert performances. It’s my hope that the Grass Roots Community Activist Institute would become the Hub in the Midwest for aspirin artists and upcoming entrepreneurs.

I want to make Chicago a model first before we expand to 10 other cities within 10 states. My vision goes beyond Black America my vision also includes Africa, Brazil and the Caribbean Islands. Once we're established in 10 cities I plan on having African Immigrants in America to assist me in setting up chapters in 10 countries in Africa. We will go through the proper channels with their government to start my (NGO) Non-government organization/private non-profit and for profit service based business. We will offer private employment to our clients and members based on our budget and our sponsorship. We will provide infrastructure for clean running water, agricultural technology to feed the people, and most of all help improve the African economy as well as educate our people about the problems with Capitalism and show them an alternative GRCAI. In time we will also expand to Brazil and the Afro-Caribbean Islands.

Our community will be built on values of faith, community, service, stewardship and growth with friendship at the center of everything we do. GRCAI is about making our urban community better, healthier, and stronger. GRCAI is also about building a strong unified global community and providing basic resources to families that want to utilize our programs and services.

Mission:

To strengthen single black families that want to utilize our programs and services.

To eradicate urban violence in the city of Chicago and beyond, fight against poverty,
fight against structural inequality, fight against institutionalized racism, and
fight against police brutality within the communities and cities we will serve.

To raise the bar in Black America and working collectively as did our grandparents during the Civil Rights Era, standing for righteousness, covering what the Holy Spirit is doing in our day, while lovingly confronting error and extremes in a constructive manner.

To equip men and women to serve and lead with integrity, creativity, competence and compassion in a diverse, interconnected and increasingly urbanized the community and the world.

To create economic development in urban communities by starting a new Black Wall Street which will help make our community compete in the global marketplace.

To building a strong unified global community and providing basic resources to communities and families that want to utilize our programs and services.

To expand to 10 cities throughout the MidWest and hire African Immigrants in America to assist me in expanding my organization to 10 countries in Africa and in time expand to Brazil and the Afro-Caribbean.

America is the most richest and powerful country in the world. The United States has tremendous influence around the globe promoting democracy and equal treatment of everyone except for poor black men and poor black women. A four legged dog has more protection under the current law then an unarmed black man or unarmed black woman. .Black people in America are divided based on social class, religion and political affiliation (Democratic Party/Republican Party).

As I mentioned in my revised book “The Solution For Black America” in chapter seven this tit for tat Democrat/Republican party was established during slavery times and does not represent a true democracy because the financial elites created both political parties and the electoral college as an illusion to make Americans believe they have a choice in selecting their political leaders. According to the Greek philosopher “A democracy exists whenever those, who are free and poor are in sovereign control of the government, an oligarchy is when control lies in the hands of the rich and born.”

I call upon like-minded Millennials, Progressive African Americans, African Immigrants, Afro-Brazilians, Afro-Caribbean, Non-black sympathizers, all Christians regardless of denominations, moderate Muslims and secular people who are interested in working with me first please purchase my revised book (The Solution For Black America: Reclaiming, Rebuilding, And Restoring The Urban Ghettos In America) second edition and read my story for yourself.

If you agree with my vision to improve our inner cities in America then share my book information with your family, friends, place of worship and also at your local community center this will help speed up the process for me to generate capital so that I can be in a better position financially to hire qualified people to assist me with the daily operation of my Christian business (GRCAI) the Grass Roots Community Activist Institute of Chicago.

It’s not my burden alone but rather a shared burden for I am just one black man with a vision and a plan, it takes a team to make a dream work. I am doing my best to get my message out to the public through my Youtube videos, my Social Groups, my Blog Postings, my online talkshow and now through my revised book and my future film Hood Liberator Made In Chicago. This is my contribution back to my community, society and throughout the African Diaspora.

Proverbs 29:18 Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

(Building A New Movement In Black America Called GRCAM)

About: The Grass Roots Community Activist Movement
I created GRCAM on a site called Gopher on November 10, 1991.
I created GRCAM because I lack support from established black organizations in my former community. I turned to social media to broadcast my cause (Help Stop The Genocide In American Ghettos) in order to recruit qualified individuals to join my management team. My creator has given me a vision on how my organization will help end urban violence in my city.

Since I lack the manpower and the capital to jump start my organization I decided to write and publish my action plan in order to generate capital so that I can hire qualified individuals to join my management team. My book is just the beginning once I generate enough capital from my revised book and have my management team in place then I will start the Grass Roots Community Activist Institute in Chicago.

GRCAI will empower local and national Actors, Actresses, Artists, Comedians, Fashion Designers, Film Makers, Models, Musicians, Performing Artist, Poets, Singers, and Writers. Our students will learn Film Making, Performing Arts, Entrepreneurship Training, Journalism, Book Writing, and Financial Literacy. We will offer internships and give stipends to our students and offer private employment to our clients and members based on our budget and sponsorship. In time we will offer a second chance program for ex-offenders, former gang members, and the homeless.

My pledge to inner-city residents of Chicago is that none of our members will ever have to endure such humiliation and rejection as I did just for trying to do something positive in the black community. The Grass Roots Community Activist Institute will utilize a membership based approach to recruiting and staffing. This collaborative effort results in better services. GRCAI will implement innovative programs that will set us apart from the competition. GRCAI will be committed to serving inner city youth and their families who reside in underserve communities. We will work closely with educators to identify students who are most likely at risk of dropping out of school and that need an intervention.

We will offer tutoring, mentoring, and social services to prove to the community that we care about them as our own, by meeting their basic nutritional, spiritual and healthcare needs. GRCAI will offer unique programs and services that seek to better the individual and in turn, promoting community service, engaging in political activism, and much more. We will Focus on personal development of individuals through initiatives, youth programs, and civic engagement. By cooperating and collaborating with other organizations beyond the black community.

Membership:

GRCAM gains its strength from its members and volunteers. Becoming a GRCAM member instills a sense of responsibility in an individual and provides a sense of community regardless of geographic location because it's currently online. Membership entitles an individual to participate in my free webinars, hold key leadership positions, and gain networking opportunities with other members. Membership in GRCAM is open to everyone on my friends list in the United States and those who live abroad who are committed to GRCAM mission and vision.

Media:

GRCAI will create our own media through the press and films to ensure a balance portrayal of the black community to the American public. GRCAI will monitor local, national media, to challenge negative stereotypes. In time its my hope that GRCAI can become a respected and credible source for journalism.

Community Alerts:

In an effort to empower the African American community, GRCAI will issues action alerts as a means of generating a grassroots response to critical issues. This will made a significant impact in bringing about real change at the local level. GRCAI will also offers an email alerts to subscribers designed to be a source of information and news for the African American community.

Research:

GRCAM will conduct community research studies on subjects relevant to the African American community, including gathering and analyzing data on various issues.

Internships:

GRCAI will offers internships to our students who wish to gain experience in our classes from media relations, political activism or civil rights work.

GRCAI Publications:

GRCAI will offer a variety of publications that address the needs and rights of African Americans. These publications include guides for employers, educators, healthcare providers, and politics.

Education:

Conferences, Seminars and Workshops. GRCAI will hold live conferences and training seminars for our members, media professionals and the academic community. These events are designed to present easily accessible and accurate information about the African American community. GRCAI will provide diversity training workshops to employers, educators, and organizations. GRCAI will also provide training for the African American community and activists in areas such as media relations, public speaking, lobbying, and civil rights.

Voter Registration:

In order to increase African American participation in the political arena, GRCAI and our chapters will regularly sponsor voter registration drives across the country.

Community Outreach:

GRCAI will strive to educate others about what we do while forming cooperative alliances with other organizations beyond the black community.

It's my hope that through my revised book I will connect with 30 individuals within the United States who have read my story and who agree with my action plan to meet me in person. They must have degrees or training in the following areas: Executive Assistant, Accountant, General Manager, Social Worker, Associate Director, Financial Planner, Marketing, Information Technology Coordinator, Grant Writer, Lawyer, Development Assistant, Real Estate Broker, Business Manager, Insurance Agent, Administrative Receptionist, Human Resource Manger, Finance, Musician, Vocal Coach, Poet, Play Writers/ Film Makers, Actors/Actresses, Theater Director, Public Relation Specialist, Journalist, and Box Office Staff.

It’s also my hope that I could connect with people from the business community who are Angel Investors, Business Partners, Christian Entrepreneurs, and Social Entrepreneurs to discuss my for profit business plan. In contrast, I also plan on meeting with Donors, Philanthropist, and Sponsors to discuss my nonprofit business plan.

I created the Grass Roots Community Activist Movement on the belief that inner city youth and their families are entitled to respect, basic resources, and safety in their own community. The Grass Roots Community Activist Movement is currently a virtual Christian socialist organization. Christian socialism is a form of socialism based on the teachings of Jesus. Many Christian socialists believe capitalism to be idolatrous and rooted in greed, which some Christian denominations consider a mortal sin. Christian socialists identify the cause of social inequality is due to capitalism.

I welcome all Christian denominations in the faith, secular people, and moderate Muslims to participate in my free webinars. For 24 years I have been sharing my action plan to help end urban violence in Chicago both online and offline. From my Youtube videos, Blogtalkradio, my social groups, my blog post and now through my revised book “The Solution For Black America: Reclaiming,Rebuilding, And Restoring The Urban Ghettos In America” second edition. The question remains when will Black America wake up?

I am doing my best to find 30 qualified individuals within the United States who have read my story to come forth and work with me in moving my virtual organization GRCAM from behind a computer and start my business venture in Chicago known as the Grass Roots Community Activist Institute. Since 2001 over 4000 people has been killed in Chicago alone and as a result Chicago is currently the murder capital in America. We see that nothing out there is working to end senseless violence in Chicago, I provide an in depth action plan.

My critics say that I am just trying to sell a book but what they fail to understand is that in order to start a business it takes capital. If I was just trying to make money I would have written my story 15 years ago. My book is just the beginning once I generate enough capital from my revised book and have my management team in place then I will start GRCAI in Chicago as mentioned in my book.

GRCAI is a spiritual, charitable, social, cultural, and educational service based organization. GRCAI will work to promote a positive image of low income African Americans through our media, education and community advocacy, GRCAI will puts forth an Afrocentric perspective to ensure the black voice is represented. In offering this perspective, GRCAI seeks to empower the black community, the family and encourage their participation in our political, spiritual, and social service activities.

GRCAI mission is to help end urban violence, poverty, structural inequality, institutionalized racism, and police brutality within the communities and cities we will serve if given a chance. In addition, we will help enhance understanding of black culture, encourage dialogue, protect civil liberties, empower African Americans, and build coalitions that promotes social justice and mutual understanding. GRCAM vision is to become the leading advocate for social justice and mutual understanding within the black community.

The Grass Roots Community Activist Institute will become a private, non-profit service base Christian organization in the Midwest without regard to ethnic or economic background. GRCAI will be the essential community resource for news and culture, filling the void in local journalism and cultural programming; to lead the way in the development of new technologies which will keep the community aware, informed, and engaged; to be the primary convener of discussion about the key issues affecting our community. An informed and educated citizenry is vital to a healthy democracy and a thriving community.

GRCAI will be dedicated to supporting coordinated services to enhance the lives of Chicago residents. GRCAI will work to promote the well-being of individuals, support single black families and strengthen the black community by providing direct assistance and administer resources. Offer a wide range of services from informational to recreational activities and address the diverse needs and interests of the community, from those who are healthy and active, to those who are frail and homebound.

The Grass Roots Community Activist Institute will provide healthcare, housing, and hope for hundreds of people in Chicago. Through care, private employment, advocacy, and housing, GRCAI will inspires people living in violent communities to reclaim their lives. We reject the notion that everyone in the hood is a lost cause, we will offer a wide range of programs and services to treat the whole person, rather than just the addiction. We will offer innovative programs on the Westside and Southside of Chicago and surrounding suburbs.

Our services would be assertive outreach, case management, housing, private employment, education, primary care, substance abuse treatment, and community research. The vision for GRCAMfest is to unite the Art community, with the Faith community to create a state of the art music festival venue as an tours attraction to revitalize both the Westside and the Southside inner cities of Chicago by uniting both sides together. The Grass Roots Community Activist Institute believe in the resilience and value of all individuals.

GRCAI believes everyone contributes to our society, and that everyone should have the same opportunity to live a life of value, self-respect, compassion, and dignity. All of our members have potential, full of gifts and skills to develop. By providing food, clothing, shelter and financial counseling. The Grass Roots Community Activist Institute will empower single black families and individuals of all races to realize their full potential.

We will assist individuals, single black families and urban communities in the provision of services which support and enhance growth and economic development in the areas of community development and outreach, family services, childcare services, housing services, senior services, employment services community nutrition programs, youth services, private employment and training, health promotion, community educational intervention and outreach initiatives.

Our services will help at-risk youth to keep them out of gangs, away from street drugs and give job training to adults with economic troubles, provide affordable housing for seniors, and organize in-home care services for seniors who need help caring for themselves. The Grass Roots Community Activist Institute will fulfills the Church's role in the mission of charity to those in need by providing compassionate, competent and professional services that strengthen and support individuals, single black families based on the value and dignity of human life.

In order to remain faithful to our mission, the Grass Roots Community Activist Institute will be guided by Respect, Compassion, Competence and Stewardship. Our mission and values are based on the firm foundation of Christian principles. These themes include the belief that human life is sacred; that all humans have inherent dignity, rights and responsibilities; that social structures like marriage and traditional family must be supported; that the needs of the poor and vulnerable must be met and that we must be responsible stewards of God’s creation.

It's my hope that GRCAI will be a gathering place for aspiring artists and upcoming entrepreneurs and eventually a gathering place to connect people interested in film, music, dance, design, theater, fashion, and culinary arts. Our events will attract hundreds of individuals, businesses and organizations for discussions & workshops, networking opportunities for local residents. We will have food, live music, and sports events to help fund our programs and services to make sure our neighborhood is safe vibrant and productive. This will be a lasting legacy in our community. It's my hope that GRCAI could someday become the Hub in the Midwest for emerging artists and upcoming entrepreneurs.

GRCAI will host live entertainment and all types of events, workshops and seminars with such topics as legal, financial and space issues. GRCAI will represent the great diversity within black culture from film making and performing arts to entrepreneurship from African Americans, Afro Brazilians, Caribbean Islanders, and Native Africans. I want to make Chicago a model first before we expand to 25 other cities within 25 states. Once we're established in America I plan on having Native Africans in America to assist me in setting up chapters in 25 countries in Africa.

I can't do this alone in order for me to achieve my goal, I need people on my friends list, people in my social groups, and Chicago residents to work with me by spreading my book information with your family, friends, place of worship, and also at your local community center. GRCAI is about building a strong unified global community and providing basic resources to families that want to utilize our programs and services.

GRCAI is open to all ordinary law abiding citizens, all racial groups, and undiscovered artist. GRCAI is private in order for me to weed out small minded individuals and people who careless about inner city youth and their families. This is my contribution back to my community, society, and throughout the African Diaspora. Peace over violence

(My Revised Book - A Clear Prophetic Vision For Black America & Africa)

23 years of rejection have not stop me from broadcasting my vision from my You Tube Videos, Blogtalkradio shows, my social groups, and now my revise book I am doing all I can to find 30 individuals within the United States who have read my revised book "The Solution For Black America: Reclaiming, Rebuilding, And Restoring The Urban Ghettos In America" Second Edition.
The Grass Roots Community Activist Movement is about uniting all of my social groups and moving this virtual organization from behind a PC starting in Chicago. It's about building new leadership,
advance faith, and turning peoples dreams into a reality. GRCAM is also about focusing on creating economic development within the low income African American community and working with Native Africans in the United States. We seek to create profitable ventures within the inner cities and abroad to improve the African economy in 25 countries.

History

I started the Grass Roots Community Activist Movement back in 1991 due to the fact that I lacked support from my former community to start a new movement in Black America. Since then I expanded my social groups on 300 social networks and I have 125,000 people worldwide on my friends list. Yet only three people are on my advisory board. Since I lacked the manpower and the capital to move my organization from behind a PC so I decided to write and publish my story in 2010 and 2012. I wrote my book in order to attract strong, vibrant, and talented dedicated individuals to help me run the daily operations of my business. , and diverse members, who continue to strive to be better citizens of the Ghanaian community. GRCAM offers proactive plans for progressive minded people our goals are to

1. Promote and encourage charitable benevolent activities as well as for profit businesses within the low income African American community/ the black ghetto or the hood.

2. Use my revised book to educate our clients and members about creating a new society within the black community and create cultural activities to unite the African American community and the Native African immigrant community.

3. Help sponsor youth-focused sporting events/tournaments within our recreation center.

4. Own and facilitate real estate on a cooperative basis to provide decent housing for our clients and members.

The Grass Roots Community Activist Institute school of Arts and Entertainment. GRCAI long-term goals are to develop strategies in business and commerce to increase GRCAM clients and members net worth.

1. Stocks, Bonds, Mutual Funds, Equity Fund, and Life Insurance
2. Real Estate both Private & Commercial
3. Retail Services

The Grass Roots Community Activist Movement is a Christian Socialist organization. A Christian socialist is a form of socialism based on the teachings of Jesus. Many Christian socialists believe that capitalism is idolatrous and rooted in greed, social inequality, and institutionalized racism which most Christian denominations consider a mortal sin. Our focus is on love, compassion, social justice, and liberation theology. Jesus commanded us to be a witness to others not just for us to read his word, but to activate social change in the world according to Luke 4:18-19.

GRCAM is open to all racial groups, Christians, moderate Muslims, and secular people. Those who believe they have what it takes to be on my management team make yourself known to me. My book is the foundation of my organization and it's only for people who are serious about fighting for social change in our society. I provide a vision of how we can have a better society and I provide a strategy to achieve it through a detail road map on how my organization plan to end urban violence, poverty, structural inequality, institutionalized racism, and police brutality within the communities and cities we will serve. While the financial elites reports record profits, the working poor one sixth of the population, live below the poverty line and are getting poorer. Nearly half of the American population is just above the poverty line. The rise of the police state protects the interest of the financial elites and their corporations.

Those who are not connected with the power that be become victims of foreclosures, evictions, layoffs, and imprisonment. In the name of austerity, clinics are being closed, schools are closed, food stamps are being cut, childcare supplements are being taking away, useful community programs are now being defunded. These conditions are intolerable. What we face in America is the private ownership of land by the financial elites. The militarization of the police state and the bolstering of the prison industry proves that the financial elites is not interested in changing the systemic root of the problem which is social inequality. Whether you are African American protesting in Chicago, New York, Ferguson, Baltimore or if you're white living on welfare in Appalachia, the demand is the same human basic need food, clothing, housing, healthcare, and education.

The Grass Roots Community Activist Movement will improve the lives and the conditions of the low income African American community and the black family as well as do cooperative alliance with other community organizations beyond the black community in order to create a society based on cooperation; a society where education, healthcare, food, and housing are available to all. Peace could be ours if we would just stop competing against one another and build a cooperative society, where the abundance that surrounds us was shared by all. I wrote my book to get my message out to the public and network with liked minded individuals who think outside the box like me for us to build this organization starting in Chicago. As we fight to end police brutality and the killings of unarmed black and brown people we must first build a new movement that is established within our community represented by the local residents of that community.

GRCAM will become a charitable nonprofit organization as well as a for profit organization. We want to create a mutual society for the sole purpose to benefit our society for a social purpose. GRCAM will provide financial and social services to our clients and members starting in Chicago and eventually in 25 other cities within 25 states. My vision goes beyond Urban America. Once we're established in America I plan on having Native Africans in America to assist me in starting chapters in 25 countries in Africa. If nothing else pray for me that my book would get on the best sellers list so that I can hire qualified people on my management team then I can do all of the things I’ve written one community, one city, and one state at a time starting in Chicago. My organization is open to all law abiding citizens, all racial groups, and undiscovered artist. This is my contribution back to my community and throughout the African Diaspora. Genocide is not an easy topic to talk about but we need to address it in our society. The main reason why I wrote my book is to raise awareness about genocide   within our inner cities in America. I want to connect with other liked minded individuals, who are concerned about black issues, the black community, and the black family. Those who purchased my book and agree with my plan to improve Urban America I will promote your Business, Ministries, or Music on my Blogtalkradio show for 10 minutes.  If you missed my last talk show, it’s always available to listen in the archives under episodes. You can chat live with me during my podcast on my Blogtalkradio by clicking on the weblink below.

History

Help Stop The Genocide In American Ghettos is a Blogtalkradio show created by Emmanuel Barbee. His show strives to offer a more insightful and deeper look into the social, cultural, and political issues that are affecting the African American community. This show will "Unite Voices and Change Lives" by providing a variety of guest who will motivate, educate, entertain, inspire, and positively impact the lives of others. Emmanuel Barbee is an upcoming social entrepreneur as well as a new urban author of the book "The Solution For Black America: Reclaiming, Rebuilding, And Restoring The Urban Ghettos In America" Second Edition. This book is an auto-biography about his experience growing up in the inner city of Chicago. He wrote this book to raise awareness about the genocide which is taken place within our inner cities in America.

Another reason why he wrote his book is to promote his organization the Grass Roots Community Activist Movement.  GRCAM will become a private for profit multi-service based business. It will have three main components: a social service component, a spiritual component, and a political component. Our focus is on providing goods and services to the low income African American community and working directly with single black mothers, single black fathers, and low income two parent families within the communities and cities we will serve. Finally, he wrote his book in order to generate capital/seed money so that he can hire thirty qualified individuals to assist him with the daily operations of his business.  Our agenda is to end urban violence, gun violence, poverty, structural inequality, institutionalized racism, and police brutality within the communities and cities we will serve.

The Vision

With the rise in violence, increasing high school drop outs, and underperforming schools many parents are taking their children’s education very personal. Our focus is on solving urban violence and offer private employment to local residents who become our clients and members within the communities we will serve. The Grass Roots Community Activist Movement (GRCAM) envisions a world in which urban communities are able to have the same resources and opportunities available to them as other American communities through this private for profit multi-service based business. I pledge to support local residents who are interested in becoming entrepreneurs by teaching them the steps in our workshops. Through our private school the Grass Roots Community Activist Institute school of Arts and Entertainment.

We will offer six basic classes ranging from Film Making, Performing Arts, Entrepreneurship Training, Journalism, Book Writing Workshop, and Financial Literacy. We will offer internships and give stipends to our students pending on our budget. Our long term goal is to offer a music workshop with an onsite music studio and tutorial service which will include an after school program, adult education program, and a recreational center for our students and for the community we will serve. We will provide small classes, seminars, live conferences, and collaborate with other community organizations within and beyond the communities we will serve. We will work with our clients and members and connect them with our many services so that can have a more productive lives.

Persistent criminal violence in many forms is real and we need to address. This is why I created Help Stop The Genocide In American Ghettos talk show on Blogtalkradio. I plan to create a safe and comfort environment to our youth and break the cycle of violence. No matter how bad I want to help improve the living conditions of my people and my community, changing years of social conditions takes a team. Without my management team in place I will never be able to do all of the things I have written in my book nor never be able to end the heartbreaking violence that has taken the lives of so many of our children. However, any approach to the current crime problem must be multi-faceted. We need fewer guns, more ways to peacefully resolve conflicts, and job opportunities that offer alternatives to criminal activity.

Everyone deserves to live in a safe neighborhood. We will create programs that support working families and low income families where children can thrive and neighbors can fellowship, solve problems, build trust, and heal from this Willie Lynch mentality among our people. GRCAM will create accessible and affordable spaces where children and youth can learn, play and develop, safely. GRCAM will provide a place where our clients and members can gather, celebrate and solve our community problems once and for all. The strength of a community lies in its residents’ ability to work together to create and steer their collective voice for our community. You cannot destroy communities and expect them to become safer.

We are the key to each other’s security and we have to all take that responsibility. GRCAM will teach our clients and members that we need to support interventions which empowers community residents and treat one another with respect and compassion. Social justice is about repair, restitution and healing, more than punishment and revenge. social justice is more than a pipedream. It is a practical approach to solving conflicts that everyone can own.

GRCAM will provide a neighborhood-focused plan that establishes clear protocols for helping residents and communities heal from traumatic events. Under our political party those who have committed acts of violence will be held accountable, under our laws, make restitution and forge productive and meaningful lives. Those who are involved in shootings, and found guilty in the court of law we will push to have those person or persons strip of their U.S. citizenship and be deported to Antarctica. If they can kill another human being then they can hunt for their own food in the wild.

It’s no coincidence that the neighborhoods with the highest levels of violent crime are also those with double-digit unemployment rates. Job creation and economic development strategies for our community are critical to improving neighborhood safety. Police alone won’t keep streets safe. Residents shopping at local groceries and other businesses can turn once dismal and dangerous streets into safe well patrolled areas. There simply are not enough decent jobs that pay living wages. And many people do not have the educational or training to secure other work. There are far too many disconnected youth, people between the ages of 16 and 30 who are neither in school nor working. That disconnection can result in a wide variety of problems for individual youth and the communities they live in. Both common sense and sophisticated research tells us that violent crime is related to economics, namely the absence of decent jobs that pay living wages.

The question is really “How much is it worth to us as a society and a city to really reduce crime?” Jobs and educational opportunities are the best crime and violence prevention tools we have. Broken relationships and trust between police and the black community have to be repaired. It requires a degree of restructuring the police department as well as permitting a great deal of decentralization and autonomy to those officers working with both individuals and organizations in the neighborhoods to which they are assigned.

The Mission

To address issues and solve these problems concerning our youth and our community. We will recruit and support good ideas, talents of our people which will make our community stronger. To rebuild and restore the black family and the black community, one community, one city, and one state at a time starting in Chicago. To create and own our own business within the community we will serve, and deliver outstanding services. GRCAM is to provide goods and services to single black mothers, single black fathers and low income two parent families that want and need our services, and who want more out of life. I want to make Chicago a model first before we expand to 25 other cities within 25 states.

My vision goes beyond Urban America. Once we're established in America I plan on having Native Africans in America to assist me in starting chapters in 25 countries in Africa. I call upon Native Africans: in the United States to purchase my book and read my story for yourself. If you agree with my plan to improve Urban America and Africa then make yourself known to me. If you’re not on my friends list then send me a friend request on Facebook, Google Plus, or on Skype. In turn, I will send you an attachment of my book flier. Please print them out and share it with your family, friends, your place of worship and also at your local community center. Once my organization is established in 25 states I plan to expand abroad to Africa and start chapters in 25 countries. We will wait until conditions of Ebola is under control before we go to West Africa.

We will go through the proper channels to get my organization as an NGO (Non-Government Organization) chapters in Ghana, Nigeria, South Africa, and do our research to see if people want and need our services. We will offer private employment to our clients and members based on our budget and sponsorship. This organization will provide infrastructure for clean running water, agricultural technology to feed the people, and most of all educate our people about the problems with Capitalism and show them an alternative GRCAM. We will also expand to Brazil and the Caribbean Islands to people that want and need our services.
I call upon the art community: I am seeking local artist and national artist in the area of Poets, Performing Artist, Musicians, Actors, Actresses, Singers, Models, and Film Director who will work with me in turning my book into a movie. I pray my book and future film or play reach Angel Investors, Donors, Philanthropist, Sponsors, and Social Entrepreneurs in America and abroad to work with me in moving my virtual organization from behind a computer starting in Chicago.

I call upon the faith community: within the United States and abroad. All I ask is that you purchase my book and read my story for yourself. If you agree with my plan to improve Urban America then make yourself known to me by sending me a friend request on Facebook. Also send me your Gmail address and in turn I will send you an attachment of my book flier. Please print them out and share it with your family, friends, your place of worship and also at your local community center. The spiritual component of GRCAM is to unite Christians, moderate Muslims, and secular people in America and declare to our younger generation the power of the gospel, and  active a culture for change!

[Moving My Social Groups From Behind PC]

For 23 years I’ve been doing my best to reach out to our black middle and working class brothers and sisters, as well as other racial groups, but still to this day I lack anyone on my management team. No matter how bad I want to help improve the living conditions of my people, who reside in the inner city of Chicago, changing years of social conditions takes a team. Since I lack the manpower and capital to start my private for profit business I decided to focus on writing and publishing my story “The Solution For Black America: Reclaiming, Rebuilding, And Restoring The Urban Ghettos In America” Second Edition.

I wrote my book to raise awareness about the genocide which takes place within our inner cities in America. My book is the foundation of my organization, and I  will use it in my private school the Grass Roots Community Activist Institute school of Arts and Entertainment.  We will offer six basic classes ranging from Film Making, Performing Arts, Entrepreneurship Training, Journalism, Book Writing Workshop, and Financial Literacy. We will offer internships and give stipends to our students pending on our budget and sponsorship.

Our long term goal is to offer a music workshop with an onsite music studio and tutorial service which includes an after school program, adult education program, and recreational center for our students and community we will serve. Everyone on my friends list and in my social groups have a responsibility to share my book information and vision with others. Those of you who think you have what it takes to be on my management team come forth and make yourself known to me by sending me your email to my Facebook inbox. In return I will send you an attachment of my book flier. Please print them out and share it with your family, friends,  place of worship, school and local community center. My organization is open to all law abiding citizens, all racial groups, and undiscovered artist. This is my contribution back to my community, society and throughout the African Diaspora.

(My Blog Talk Radio Speech)

Transcript:

Hello, welcome to Blogtalkradio and to my show (Help Stop The Genocide In American Ghettos). My name is Emmanuel Barbee. I am an upcoming social entrepreneur as well as new urban author of the book "The Solution For Black America: Reclaiming, Rebuilding, And Restoring The Urban Ghettos In America" Second Edition.  This book is auto-biography about my experience growing up in the inner city of Chicago.  It’s also about the black experience from an urban perspective. Our past, present, and future of Black America.  The purpose of this talkshow is for me to connect with other liked minded individuals who are concerned about black issues, the black community, and the black family. In the near future I will promote people who are active in my social groups and give them a chance to promote their businesses, ministries, books etc… You can call in to speak live with me at (347) 324-5232.

Here’s a little bit about  me and what I am trying to do to improve Urban America starting in Chicago.  I was born and raised in Chicago Illinois. I’ve lived both on the Southside and on the Westside of Chicago. I am a college graduate. I graduated from Northeastern Illinois University.  I have a degree in sociology. I am a Christian socialist. A Christian socialist is a form of socialism based on the teachings of Jesus. Many Christian socialists believe that capitalism is idolatrous and rooted in greed, social inequality, and institutionalized racism which most Christian denominations consider a mortal sin. I am also a social entrepreneur. A social entrepreneur are people who try to solve social, cultural, and environmental issues. Christian socialist focus on love, compassion, social justice, and liberation theology. Jesus commanded us to be a witness to others not just for us to read his word, but to activate social change according to Luke chapter 4 verses 18-19.

In 1991, I created my virtual organization GRCAM the Grass Roots Community Activist Movement on a site called Gopher because I lacked support from my former community to improve the social conditions on the Westside of Chicago. In my groups we have open discussion and share information, thoughts, about improving the black community. I assisted others who joined my social groups with finding college scholarships /grants; nonprofit grants; small business grants; housing; legal services and employment on a national level from my web journal all for free. Today I am on 300 social networks and I have 125,000 people worldwide on my friends list, yet I only have three people on my advisory board this is unacceptable Black America!

Since the beginning of my virtual organization, GRCAM has been on the forefront of economic development. In time GRCAM will eventually move from behind a computer with the help of my revised book and the support from my readers, group members, and supporters from around the world. GRCAM will become a local, national, and international advocacy organization and a national leader in community activism and policies affecting black people and for promoting economic empowerment to disenfranchise populations within the dominant culture. GRCAM will do cooperative alliances with local, state, and national organizations on advocacy issues affecting African Americans/blacks.

My critics have a nerve to ask me what is taking me so long to move my virtual organization from behind a computer?  I tell them people have free will if it was up to me everyone on my friends list and in my social groups would work with me directly rather than complaining about the white man or other social issues.  I have something no black leader in Chicago or in the United States has, that is I have a plan/vision on how my organization will end urban violence, gun violence, poverty, structural inequality, institutionalized racism, and police brutality within the communities and cities we will serve if given a chance.

In 2005, I tried to start a nonprofit organization based on my virtual organization but I was unsuccessful at finding people in my city to join my board of directors or finding rental space. I reached out to established black organizations in my former community they all decline to work with me all because of this Willie Lynch mentality within our racial group.  Since I lacked the manpower and the capital to jump start my business I decided to focus on writing and publishing my story. After sending out thousands of query letters and book proposals I decided to self-published. I found a self publishing company called Xlibris. I paid them three thousand dollars to edit and publish my book. My first book was published in 2010 but come to find out that my book was not edited I believe that my book was sabotage deliberately. One of my advisory board members help me edit my revised book and I found another company called Createspace which work well within my budget. In 2012 my revised book was placed on Amazon and Createspace.

I wrote my book for three reasons: one reason is to raise awareness about the genocide which is taken place within our inner cities in America. Another reason why I wrote my book is to promote my organization the Grass Roots Community Activist Movement.  GRCAM will become a private for profit multi-service based business.  The reason why I decided to make it private is to exclude small minded individuals and passive spectators on my friends list who only want to be seen. We will have three main components: a social service component, a spiritual component, and a political component.

Our social service component - Our focus is on providing goods and services to the low income African American community and work directly with single black mothers, single black fathers, and low income two parent families within the communities and cities we will serve.  One of our services will be a drop in service for working parents so they can run errands. Anti violence programs for at risk youth and a recreational center to keep our children safe. We will provide seminars and workshops which focus on violence prevention, and job training. We will offer private employment to our clients and members within the organization based on our budget and sponsorship. We will also include  a second chance program for ex offenders, former gang members, and homeless. Those who are business minded we will teach them how to start their own business and work with them until it materialize.  Our goal is to first stabilize the community through our outreach programs and create jobs so our young people don’t become career criminals. As a result our clients can raise their family in a safer environment.

Our spiritual component - Is optional for secular people. We will have a Christianity department and work with moderate Muslims within our community. We want to teach the community about how to co-exist respect one another belief system and about pooling our resources collectively for the common good of the community.

Our political component -  We will create our own independent political party at the local level. Every day local, state and federal officials make decisions that impact our lives. We will help write and pass laws which are compatible with the dominant culture which will protect local residents and give community rights to those affected by bias in the current system. Once my organization is established we will hold Rogue Cops and Urban Terrorist accountable for their actions and create laws aimed specifically at those who continue to destroy black life through our political component. Our political party will focus on local issues within the black community and focus on changing current gun laws within the city and state of Illinois. We will also do cooperative alliance beyond the black community so that this can be a win situation for the people of Chicago and the surrounding suburbs of Chicago.  Finally, I wrote my book in order to generate capital/seed money so I can hire thirty qualified individuals to assist me with the daily operations of my business. I want to make Chicago a model first before we expand to 25 other cities within 25 states.

My vision goes beyond Urban America. Once we're established in America I plan on having Native Africans on my friends list in America to help me start chapters in 25 countries in Africa. I call upon Native Africans: in the United States on my friends list to purchase my book and read my story for yourself.

GRCAM is about building a strong unified global community and providing basic resources to communities and families that want and need our services.
